Coilcraft’s XAL15xx Family of rugged, magnetically-shielded power inductors are offered in two versions - one providing saturation current ratings up to 111 Amps and the other offering inductance values as high as 33 µH - delivering the highest levels of performance in the smallest possible space.

Coilcraft will be presenting a variety of new and award winning RF and power magnetic products in their electronica 2014 booth (B6.242), as well as innovative product solutions for a variety of markets including the IoT, wearable products, automotive, data centres, building automation and network power.

  The RF Inductor Finder web tool, announced by Coilcraft, enables engineers to search and compare inductors based on their exact operating frequency (rather than datasheet test frequencies), Q factor, footprint, SRF, impedance, price or inductance.

Operating at 250kHz with 36-72V input, the POE300F series flyback transformers have been introduced by Coilcraft. The devices meet IEEE 802.3at-2009 standards for PoE+ (Power over Ethernet Plus) applications up to 30W, such as VoIP telephones, IP cameras with pan tilt and zoom (PTZ), wireless access points, network routers and remote Ethernet switches.

Coilcraft’s XPL2010 series of ultra-small, magnetically shielded power inductors combine excellent current handling, low DC resistance and inductance values up to 220µH in a package that measures just 1.9x2.0mm. The series offers DCR as low as 0.027Ω and current ratings up to 3.75A.

Featuring excellent Q factors and current ratings of up to 57.0A, Coilcraft has introduced the VS series air core inductors. The devices are suitable for use in applications including high current IF/RF, high power filtering, high frequency VRMs where magnetic material must be avoided (e.g., in MRI machines) and as high current IF chokes.

A series of power inductors combining excellent current handling and exceptionally low DC resistance has been launched by Coilcraft. The XFL6012 series are offered in a rugged, low-profile package measuring just 6.56x6.36mm with a maximum height of only 1.2mm.

Designed for for power over Ethernet (PoE) and -48V network power applications, the PL160 and PL300 series of surface mount planar transformers have been announced by Coilcraft. Both product series offer high efficiency, excellent DCR as low as 7.2mΩ, and very low leakage inductance as low as 0.20µH.

Eliminating common mode noise in high-speed, differential mode signal transmission applications, the 0603USB Series Common Mode Chokes have been announced by Coilcraft. Applications include USB 3.0, HDMI, SATA, IEEE1394 and LVDS, with the chokes supporting data rates up to 4.8 Gbit/s.

A web tool has been launched which allows users to quickly find and compare inductors based on their exact operating conditions: current, ripple, frequency and ambient temperature. The Power Inductor Finder web tool, from Coilcraft, instantly calculates core and winding losses, computes temperature rise, and plots L vs. I curves for up to six parts on the same graph.

Combining current handling up to 98.8A with exceptionally low DC resistance down to 0.45mΩ, the XAL1010 series of high-temperature, shielded power inductors have been announced by Coilcraft. Available with thirteen inductance values from 0.22-15µH, the series is offered in a rugged, molded cube-shaped package measuring just 10.0x11.3x10.0mm.

Coilcraft has announced the release of a new coupled chip power inductor series, the compact PFD3215 Series. Providing high efficiency and excellent current handling in a rugged and low-cost part, the dual-wound PFD3215 is designed for use in a variety of circuits including flyback, multi-output buck and SEPIC.

Coilcraft today introduce a new series of low-profile power inductors. Meeting NASA specifications for low outgassing, the new AE425PJB Series is just 1.8mm high with a footprint of 3.9mm square. Featuring a special suspended core construction, the AE425PJB is able to withstand vibration to 80G and shock to 1000G.

Ideal for voltage step-up in energy harvesting applications, Coilcraft have today announced the new 6x6 mm LPR6235 Series coupled inductors. The new LPR6235 Series can be used as step-up or flyback transformers in DC-DC converters or as autotransformers.

Coilcraft CPS (Critical Products & Services) has today announced the introduction of the new ST312RAG Series 0603 chip inductors. Offering extended temperature ratings (-55°C to 125°C), higher Q and lower DCR than other commercial 0603 inductors, the ST312RAG series inductors are ideal for a broad range of extreme-temperature applications.

Coilcraft announce participation at the 16th European Microwave Week, being held October 6-11 at the Nürnberg Convention Center, Nuremberg, Germany. Coilcraft has today introduced a new series of high-current shielded power inductors, the SER80xx series. Ideal for a broad range of applications, the new SER80xx series high-current shielded power inductors are offered in two versions: the first provides exceptionally low DC resistance and the other offering saturation current ratings up to 53 Amps.

Expanding on its full suite of RF Inductor design tools, Coilcraft has today announced that it has added an updated ADS Component Library to its selection of online 2D/3D, S-Parameter and SPICE Models. Helping engineers accurately simulate the performance of Coilcraft inductors in their circuit designs, Coilcraft’s Component Library includes models of its RF and Spring inductors and integrates with Agilent's Advanced Design System.

Coilcraft have today announced a new series of miniature flyback transformers, the LPD5030V Series. Providing 1500 Vdc (1000 Vrms) winding-to-winding isolation in the smallest package size available, the compact and low-profile LPD5030V Series transformers have a 1:1 turns ratio and an excellent coupling coefficient of K ≥ 0.97.

Coilcraft has today introduced a new series of high-performance air core inductors, the 1111SQ Series. Offering exceptionally high Q factors of up to 200 at 400 MHz, the new inductor series feature inductance values from 27nH to 47nH. The square profile 1111SQ Series is available in seven models with footprints from just 2.67mm x 2.67mm.
