Put smart recording in the driver's seat - Sonoscout NVH Recorder
An intuitive new sound and vibration recorder lets engineers analyse their measurements on the go, using an iPad to manage data and listen to recordings. Using the portable Sonoscout system, engineers can validate recordings in real-time, to remove the risk of recording bad data and then having to repeat expensive testing.
Outdoor Noise Measurement With Integrated Weather Parameters
Outdoor noise measurements are now fully supported in Brüel & Kjær’s Type 2250, 2270 and 2250L sound level meters, with a new Weather Station Kit for measuring noise and weather parameters simultaneously. Weather conditions significantly affect the propagation of sound and therefore affect measured noise levels.
Amp It Up With Brüel & Kjær
Brüel & Kjær has launched the world’s first preamplifier and preamplifier/microphone combinations to withstand temperatures up to 125 degrees. The high-temperature 1706 Microphone Preamplifier enables engineers to make acoustical measurements, nearer to the sound or noise source of hot devices, such as engines and gas turbines.
180°C universal accelerometers from Brüel & Kjær
Brüel & Kjær has released a new CCLD accelerometer, Type Type 4527, that can operate at a continuous temperature of 180°C, making it ideally suited for automotive powertrain uses. Type 4527 has wide dynamic, frequency and temperature ranges, making the transducer well-suited to general-purpose use. It has low sensitivity to electro-magnetic interference due to low output impedance and also features a very low noise floor. All o...
Thanks for 70 years of driving innovation
In the last 70 years, Brüel & Kjær systems have measured sound on the International Space Station and ensured all of NASA‘s Mars rovers survived the journey there. Our accelerometers have turned the Golden Gate Bridge into a giant harp and helped maintain hydroelectric generators around the world, while our world-leading microphones and hydrophones have investigated everything from submarines off Sweden to the pressure in Boeing’s wind tunn...
Vehicle simulator improves Commercial Vehicle Group’s test capabilities
A Desktop Noise Vibration Harshness (NVH) Simulator has vastly improved Commercial Vehicle Group’s (CVG) customer relations and jury testing capabilities.
Join Brüel & Kjær’s 70th anniversary celebration
The roar of a car’s engine and the feel of the ride; the clear audio of a hearing aid; the drone of planes from a busy airport; the quality of a mobile phone. Sound and vibration is all around us and constantly affects our lives. Helping people solve their sound and vibration challenges is in the DNA of Brüel & Kjær - just like our iconic green instruments and our red shakers.
Brüel & Kjær launch Version 4.1 software update for its hand-held analyzers
Brüel & Kjær has launched a software update for its hand-held analyzers - Version 4.1. Designed for the company’s 2250, 2270 and 2250 Light hand-held analyzers - and their PC software ‘Measurement Partner Suite’ - the new version 4.1 is the first feature update of Brüel & Kjær’s fourth generation (G4) hardware and software, which was launched in April 2012.
Bruel & Kjaer release comprehensive course calendar
Bruel & Kjaer UK has added a new noise and vibration control training course for 2013. These acoustic requirements are imposed by more stringent regulations and can only be met by considering noise and vibration control as an integral part of the product creation process, which in turn puts tremendous pressure on the industrial design engineer.
Applus IDIADA invest in PULSE Vehicle Pass-by Test System
Automotive engineering expert, Applus IDIADA has expanded its measurement capabilities with a full pass-by system from Brüel & Kjær, for testing both ground operation and in-vehicle (one-man) operation.
Angular analysis, structural correlation and more with Brüel & Kjær’s PULSE 17
For vehicles and powertrain engineers, PULSE 17 brings important developments, with new angular analysis software providing a new post-processing application for analysing sound and vibration in the angle domain. Primarily designed for crank-angle analysis of internal combustion engine/powertrain systems, it can however be used to analyse any rotating system where cyclic phenomena need to be investigated.
Brüel & Kjær Sound & Vibration A/S acquires NoViSim to consolidate its position in Simulation and NVH decision making
The move brings on board the NVH Simulator and SoNoScout products as well as the development team that produced them, adding a wealth of signal processing and automotive NVH knowledge to the company. “Our long association with many automotive companies has allowed us to develop unique solutions to the difficult issues facing NVH engineers,” said Mark Allman-Ward of NoViSim. “Being part of Brüel & Kjær Sound & ...
