Astrodyne TDI has appointed Peter Raadsen as Vice President for Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA). He will be responsible for developing Astrodyne TDI’s overall strategy in the region, building the regional sales and engineering team while growing the company’s customer base across Europe.  

Astrodyne TDI now offers a compact dual-stage, 3-phase Delta power line filter series for high power 3-phase applications that require high insertion loss performance. The RP330 series is suitable for use with high power inverters, industrial drives and controllers as well frequency converters, industrial machine tools, industrial power supplies and other chassis-mounted systems.

Astrodyne TDI now offers a digitally programmable AC/DC power supply that provides 3,800W of regulated power and can operate as either a current or voltage source up to 400V or 170A. The modular 3.8kW Mercury-Flex is hot-swappable enabling maximum uptime.

Astrodyne TDI has introduced a high density open frame AC/DC power supply that provides 400W of regulated power in a 3x5" form factor. The power density of the ASM400 series results in a small footprint, making it extremely flexible for use in powering portable medical equipment and numerous industrial applications.

A rugged and portable test rectifier has been unveiled by Astrodyne TDI. It is designed to test impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP) installation sites. Weighing less than 25 pounds and housed in a durable, compact case, this new unit can easily be carried into the field for testing.   

A wall docking system that converts medical carts and vital sign monitors into cord-free chargeable devices is now available from Astrodyne TDI. MediParc eliminates power cords from mobile medical devices, while improving safety and ergonomics. Designed to comply with UL498, and integrate into UL60601-3rd Ed mobile powered carts, the system is easy to use and makes charging carts effortless. 

Suitable for mil/aero COTS applications, the sMV500 high power density COTS ADC has been introduced by Astrodyne. The 500W device, which expands the company’s Super MegaVerter series, utilises an IMS metal baseplate, planar transformers and surface mount construction to provide maximum power density and performance. 

A half-brick COTS AC/DC power module with an output voltage of 375V, the PFC-375, part of Astrodyne’s UniVerter Series, offers reliability in the most demanding applications. Suitable for aviation applications as well as other challenging thermal and shock vibration environments, this base-plated, potted module features Astrodyne’s Insulated Metal Substrate (IMS) construction.

  Astrodyne has acquired TDI Power from private owners. Astrodyne plans to continue to operate TDI Power’s Hackettstown, NJ and Shenzhen, China manufacturing facilities, and will look to create synergies that will provide additional benefits to customers.

A high performance single stage EMI filter has been introduced by Astrodyne, expanding the company’s custom military filter product line. Helping systems to meet MIL-STD 461F, CE101 and CE102 standards, the LCR F19734 is designed for use with Excelsys Technologies’ power supplies.

AC and DC EMI/RFI Mil/Aero filters, which are designed for 50/60, 400 and 330-880Hz applications, have been released by Astrodyne. The filters meet MIL-STD-810 for shock and vibration conformance, while supporting MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-1275 and MIL-STD-1399 power specifications.

Designed to power left ventricular assist devices (LVAD), infusion pumps, respirators, defibrillators and other mobile medical devices, Astrodyne has announced a 75W medical grade power adapter which can be used with a car or truck 12 CAP DC power connector. This medical grade DC input power adapter provides superior isolated power to medical devices used in cars and trauma patient transportation vehicles.

Astrodyne has announced that it has completed the acquisition of Filter Concepts, an established provider of EMI Filter products for demanding applications. Filter Concepts' workforce and California-based operations will be combined with Astrodyne’s existing EMI filter operations, acquired in December 2013 as part of the Radius Power acquisition.

Astrodyne announces the expansion of RO line of AC/DC High Reliability/COTS MegaVerter series with the Super MegaVerter series.
