20W converters target rugged industrial applications

With a fully potted and metal cased construction for harsh environments, the AXA series of compact 20W high power density DC/DC converters have been unveiled by Artesyn Embedded Technologies. They are suited for use in battery-operated equipment, instrumentation, distributed power architectures in communications and industrial electronics and other space critical-applications.

DC/DC converter targets high density applications

Designed for high density applications with restricted space, the AVD85 family of 85W, 1/16th brick DC/DC converters have been unveiled by Artesyn Embedded Technologies. The high efficiency, fully regulated devices provide excellent thermal performance, high power density of 72.5W/in2 and a peak efficiency of 92%.
