Alps Alpine has initiated the external sale of ICs, previously exclusive for internal application in its own products, now available under the Alps Alpine brand.

Alps Alpine and Furuno Electric Co have together developed the UMSZ6 Series GNSS1 Module, realising high-accuracy positioning to within 50cm without correction data, and report this to be a "world-first" for automotive applications.
