Aimtec announces the release of the AME1-JZ, AME2-JZ and AME3-CJZ series AC/DC converters: These series of regulated converters are available in 1, 2 and 3 W configurations. The 1 & 2 W series are packaged in a miniature size of only 33.70(l) x 22.20(w) x 18.00(h) mm (1.33 x 0.87 x 0.71 inches). The 3 W measures 37.00 x 24.50 x 18.00 mm (1.46 x 0.96 x 0.71 inches).
UL listed switching regulator supports thermal shutdown
A switching regulator has been released by Aimtec, the AMSRI-78-NZ series, which is pinout compatible with LM78xx linear regulators (SIP3). Efficient at up to 93%, the AMSRI-78-NZ series features an input range of up to 36VDC and produces output currents up to 500mA. Power is available up to 7.5W.
Compact DC/DC converters carry UL certification
Two series have been added to Aimtec's 20 and 30W DC/DC converter line. The AM20EW-NZ and AM30EW-NZ series offer an input of 4:1 (9-36, 18-75 and 40-160VDC input ranges) and are housed in a 2x1" metal and plastic package. The products have an input to output isolation of 1,500 and 3,000VDC and continuous short circuit protection.
PV duo meet Solar Energy Conversion requirements
Power supplies with a wide 10:1 input voltage range of 100 to 1,000V DC make up the AM5W-NZ, AM10W-NZ and AM15W-NZ series. The 5.0, 10 and 15W supplies are suitable for power photovoltaic (PV) systems, says Aimtec. The supplies feature a regulated output signal with high input to output isolation of 4,000V AC, tested over a 60 seconds cycle during manufacturing.

Aimtec has announced a series of 3W DC/DC converters which operate over an industrial temperature range from -40 to +85°C with derating starting above 71°C and working at 85°C at 60% loading and continuous, hiccup mode, short circuit protection. The devices are supplied in a 14-pin SMD package with industry standard pinout, with 9-36 or 18-75VDC inputs, an I/O isolation rated at 1,500VDC and tested during manufacturing for 60s.
