3D printed trainers made from trash
Coinciding with the Paris climate change agreement, Adidas has shown off its new trainers. Made of a combination of plastic found in the ocean, recycled polyester, and fishing nets, these sustainable shoes were 3D printed. For now, they’re just a prototype, but this collaborative effort with Parley for the Oceans shows what can be done with all the man-made waste drifting in our seas.

The future of performance footwear has been released by Adidas. The Futurecraft 3D is a unique 3D printed shoe midsole which can be tailored to the cushioning needs of an individual's foot. The 3D concept is part of the ‘Futurecraft series’, a forward-looking initiative that places open source collaboration and craftsmanship at the heart of design to drive innovation across all elements of production.
