An innovation certification programme for enterprises wishing to build knowledge and understanding of the LimeSDR app-enabled software defined radio (SDR) has been launched by Lime Microsystems.

Enterprises will be instructed on how the LimeSDR adds value and has the potential to increase their revenue channels. The ‘LimeSDR Enterprise Certification’ is aimed at telecom operators, IoT innovators, network equipment vendors, system integrators and other organisations that wish to be a part of the wireless revolution.

The LimeSDR, recently successfully funded on the Crowd Supply crowdfunding platform, has already attracted over $620,000 in pledges, breaking its original $500,000 goal. The new ‘LimeSDR Enterprise Certification’ initiative is available for $15,000 and includes ten LimeSDRs with high quality casing, antennas and software, plus one-day training for up to ten delegates at Lime Microsystem’s head office in Guildford, UK. On completion of training, the attendees will understand how to set up the LimeSDR, package a wireless protocol as an app, and use it demonstrate their skills in configuring a wireless network. A number of air interfaces will be demonstrated including LTE and LoRa.

Ebrahim Bushehri, CEO of Lime Microsystems said: “We are excited to introduce the LimeSDR enterprise certification. This is a great opportunity for telecom operators and other enterprises to educate their mobile and IoT teams, as well as suppliers on the LimeSDR revolution. The LimeSDR campaign has always been about creating a vibrant ecosystem of developers and enterprises that can discover the new possibilities offered by low-cost software defined radio. This program is another important step that will ensure we achieve this.”

Enterprises that complete the certification will be listed on the Lime Micro website as a certified LimeSDR specialist and will be encouraged to share their knowledge, ensuring that solutions can be accessed by others working with the LimeSDR.
