Axiomtek is pleased to introduce the arrival of SHB140, its PICMG 1.3 full-sized single board computer based on the 14nm 6th generation Intel Core processor in the LGA1151 package with Intel Q170 Express chipset. The high performance SHB-based CPU card supports PCI Express Gen 3.0 with data rates up to 8.0GT/s and comes with two DDR4-2133MHz un-buffered DIMM sockets supporting up to 32GB.

Combined high-bandwidth PCI Express for frame grabbing and conventional PCI expansion for motion capture, the Intel Skylake SHB140 is an optimum solution for machine vision and smart factory automation applications. This high performance PICMG 1.3 slot SBC also features an integrated Intel AMT 11 and TPM 1.2 for higher security and easier maintenance.

“In order to provide a cost-competitive module, Axiomtek’s new system host board SHB140 adopts 6th generation Intel Core processor which takes advantage of the new performance and power enhancements. It boasts both excellent performance and low power consumption, and provides multitasking capabilities and high-speed data transfer rates. The industrial grade high quality SHB-based platform provides simple fixes and upgrades; machine makers also can shorten their development cycle," said Ken Lin, Product Manager of Product Planning Division, Axiomtek.

In terms of rich I/O ports, the Axiomtek SHB140 offers ten USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, two gigabit LAN ports, DVI-I, HD audio, one RS-232/422/485 port, five RS-232 ports, and six SATA-600 supporting RAID 0/1/5/10. Additional expansion interface options include one PCIe x16 Gen 3, one PCIe x4 Gen 2 or four PCIe x1, and four 32 bit PCI bus masters. The powerful industrial single board computer provides reliable operation with watchdog timer.

The 6th generation Intel Core-based SHB platform, SHB140, is fully compatible with Axiomtek's PICMG 1.3 full-size passive backplanes, and we offer various industrial housing enclosures and have the capability to assist with any customer's industrial integration requirements. Additionally, its LPC bus offers a low-cost and straightforward way to continue using legacy devices.
