Toshiba have introduced a new series of enterprise SSD which has been designed specifically to support the widest possible range of read intensive-applications. Supporting one full drive write per day with 100% random data workload, the PX03SNx series is available in four differnt capacities: 200GB (PX03SNF020), 400GB (PX03SNF040), 800GB (PX03SNF080) and 1.6TB (PX03SNB160).

The PX03SNx series feature 19nm MLC NANDand fast 12Gbit/s SAS-3.0 interfaces. The 200GB, 400GB and 800GB PX03SNF020, PX03SNF040 and PX03SNF080 eSSDs achieve sequential read speeds of 1,100MiB/s. The 1.6TB PX03SNB160, however, are capable of sequential read speeds up to 1,060MiB/s. All four of the eSSDs in the PX03SNx series deliver sequential write speeds up to 380MiB/s, random read write speeds up to 26,000 IOPS and random read speeds up to 130,000 IOPS.

Optimised for read-intensive and low-write-duty storage applications, the PX03SNx series eSSDs are ideally suited for use in server systems in applications including cloud computing, online gaming, online transactions, big data analytics and DVI video streaming.

Incorporating power loss protection, the new enterprise SSDs also feature Toshiba’s robust and highly efficient Quadruple Swing-By Code for improved error correction and reliability.
