An IEC60945 certified marine PC has been introduced by Axiomtek. Designed with components rated for high temperature and high humidity, the tBOX330-870-FL is equipped with an onboard high performance Intel Core i7 processor and onboard 4GB DDR3-1600 memory to eliminate risk of harm caused by vibration and shock.

The computer features aluminium extrusion, a heavy-duty steel chassis and a IP40-rated dust-proof enclosure, which allows it to operate in harsh environments across a temperature range of -40 to +70°C. The tBOX330-870-FL is well suited for marine applications in recreational boats, tankers, watercraft, and ferry boats.

The PC is offered with a full range of I/O connectivity, including four Gigabit Ethernet ports, three isolated COM ports, an isolated DI/DO port and CAN bus, two USB 2.0 ports and two USB 3.0 ports. Other I/O interfaces include four audio ports, VGA, DVI-D, a VDC power input, a remote power switch, a reset switch, two 2.5” SATA drive trays, one CFast socket and four antenna openings.

The tBOX330-870-FL marine PC will be available in mid-April.

“Axiomtek’s latest tBOX330-870-FL is IEC60945 certified, and its compact size and low power consumption features ensure an easy installation and reliable system operation. Featuring isolated COM ports, isolated CAN bus, isolated DIO ports, SIM card and three internal PCIe Mini Card slots, the rugged fanless embedded system provides great flexibility for expansions. The multi-functional fanless marine box PC can be applied to surveillance, onboard devices controller and vessel management in marine applications,” said Jerry Huang, Product Manager, Product Marketing Division, Axiomtek. “Offered with two removable and lockable 2.5” SATA HDD and one front-access CFast socket, the tBOX330-870-FL is easy to maintain and ready for Big Data storage. Axiomtek’s rich experience in the automotive and railway sectors provides a lineage that could be leveraged by transferring our knowledge base to accommodate the needs of the marine market.”
