Today Lanner Electronics Inc. releases the VES-310 an ultra low powered 3.5” motherboard made to serve POS machines, touch screen panel displays and HMI interfaces in both industrial and commercial settings. The board is made of the new ultra low powered Intel Atom N450 CPU and comes with both VGA and LVDS video outs. Our experienced engineers has designed the VES-310 for a wide temperature range, it operates between 0o and 60o Celsius.
The motherboard is purpose built to serve a variety of different needs. Top applications include: human machine interfaces within industrial settings, POS kiosks in commercial settings and gaming platforms in casinos. The processing power is sufficient for these types of systems, and the board contains a variety of different I/O for displays and connectivity.

The VES-310 utilizes Intel Graphics for both LVDS and VGA displays. These displays can be programmed to show independent video, allowing dual video streams. To help with video processing, there is an onboard MPEG 2 hardware decoder.

The key to low power consumption comes with Intel’s newest Atom, the Pineview N450. It is Intel’s lowest power consuming Atom yet, and still boasts a respectable 1.66 GHz of processing power. The attached SODIMM socket can hold up to 2GB of DDR2 memory.

These components allows the VES-310 to have a wide temperature range between 0o and 60o Celsius. This wide temperature range allows the board to be housed in a fanless within some commercial settings. With the addition of a fan, this motherboard can thrive in harsh industrial settings.

It features a wealth of I/O connections including line in, audio out, DIO, 2 COM and 2 USB ports. The dual RJ4 LAN ports support Gigabit Ethernet. Additionally, there is also both SATA connections and CompactFlash socket. There is room for expansion both through a proprietary Lanner daughterboard for applications that require LVDS and a mini PCIe slot.
