IZT, a technology leader in innovative high-performance products for capturing, modifying and generating radio signals, today launches a high-performance digital receiver and signal collection system that supports multiple simultaneous users on multiple channels. The IZT R4000 is designed to meet customer demands for excellent dynamic range even in high-bandwidth applications, and has the ability to store and analyze the huge amounts of data that come with this increased instantaneous bandwidth in a typical operating environment. The IZT R4000 includes highly-selective configurable signal pre-selectors to avoid signal overload problems, high-quality RF front-ends, and broadband digitizers. On the backend, the IZT R4000 supports multiple users with signal processing, a storage system, and multiple parallel virtual receiver interfaces.

“The IZT R4000 is our third-generation all-digital receiver,” says Rainer Perthold, Managing Director of IZT. “To meet our customers’ demands for a system that can analyze multiple signals, we created a backend digital storage system able to handle the data, and dedicated parallel signal-analysis engines to support multiple users.”

The IZT R4000 digitizes signals up to 140 MHz directly without additional frequency conversion resulting in an exceptional dynamic range. For higher-frequency applications, the input frequency range can be extended to 3 GHz or 18 GHz, using the VUHF or SHF frontends. In all cases, the instantaneous bandwidth of the system is 120 MHz.

All intercepted signals are stored; multiple operators or automatic classification and analysis tools can then browse through individual streams or multiple streams in parallel, no matter whether they were recorded in the past or are real-time.

The IZT R4000 digitizer, wideband receiver and signal collection system is available now.
