DFI introduce the first ATX embedded motherboard in its Intel Q87 chipset-based product line, the HD631-Q87. Supporting the 4th generation Intel Core processors, the new HD631-Q87 motherboard provides smooth flash playback and rich 2D/3D graphics with high quality playback. Built on 22-nanometer process technology, these 4th generation Intel Core processors enable a compelling visual experience for intelligent systems that display videos, graphics and interactive content such as digital signs.

The integrated next-generation Intel HD Graphics engine supports DVI-I and HDMI displays with HD transcode performance increase. The Intel Clear Video Technology provides advanced imaging capabilities for Blu-Ray and other high definition video processing such as image stabilization, gamut mapping and frame rate conversion. This new ATX embedded motherboard comes with 4 DDR3/DDR3L 1333/1600MHz DIMM memory interfaces supporting up to 32GB system memory for faster communication between components. It also supports 5.1-channel High Definition Audio with S/PDIF audio interface and 2 Intel Gigabit LAN controllers with increased transmission speed for network-intensive applications.

This new desktop platform offers a cost saving solution through better manageability and improved security with a new version of the Intel vPro Technology (including Intel Active Management Technology 9.0 and Intel Trusted Execution Technology). The HD631-Q87 ATX embedded motherboard supports 6 Graphics Execution Units. The DVI-I interface displays up to 1920x1200 @60Hz resolution and the HDMI interface displays up to 4096x2304 @24Hz resolution or 2560x1600 @60Hz resolution. VGA displays resolution up to 1920x1200 pixels with 24-bit colour @60Hz. Performance is further increased through the introduction of DirectX Video Acceleration to the instruction set, providing acceleration of complex audio, video, and image processing.

The Intel Q87 Express chipset used on the HD631-Q87 ATX embedded motherboard delivers higher performance and power with improved I/O. With the new USB 3.0, it allows your system to process more data load. It provides 4 USB 3.0, 6 USB 2.0, 6 SATA 3.0 ports with data transfer rate up to 6Gb/s for RAID 0/1/5/10, 6 Serial COM ports, 1 LPC connector and 8-bit Digital I/O connector for device controls.

This desktop platform also offers additional capabilities via the expansion design of various PCIe and PCI configurations, including 1 PCIe x16 interface (PCIe 3.0, x16 signal) for high performance graphics displays, 2 PCIe x4 interfaces (PCIe 2.0, 1 x4 signal and 1 x1 signal) for RAID controller cards, and 3 PCI interfaces (PCI 2.3).

All these features described above make the HD631-Q87 ATX motherboard an ideal choice for intensive applications such as gaming machine, industrial control automation, medical equipment, telecom, and transportation.
