A fanless embedded box system suitable for rugged applications has been introduced by Axiomtek. The eBOX626-842-FL utilises an onboard Intel Celeron quad core processor J1900 2.0GHz, enabling high performance and low-power consumption.

The system supports system memory up to 8GB with one DDR3L-1066/1333 SO-DIMM socket and offers HDMI and VGA display outputs. Featuring an integrated single-chip design, the ruggedised embedded box system is lighter and thinner compared to the previous eBOX620 series. Supporting a -20 to +55°C operating temperature range and a 10-34VDC wide DC input voltage range, the system is suitable for smart automation, transportation, kiosk, industrial gateway, medical equipment and other IoT and M2M applications.

“The eBOX626-842-FL is made of rugged IP40-rated aluminium cold-rolled steel enclosure with anti-vibration up to 3Grms, which can protect it from breakdown in harsh environments. To meet WLAN and WWAN communications, the embedded box system supports dual PCIe Mini Card slots with USB and PCIe connections and one SIM slot for high-bandwidth expansions such as GPS, GSM/GPRS, WiFi, and 3G/LTE,” said Vincent Ji, Product Manager of Product & Marketing Division, Axiomtek.

The eBOX626-842-FL supports two RS-232/422/485 ports, one RS-232 port, VGA, HDMI, audio, dual Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, four high-speed USB 2.0 ports, three SMA type connector openings for antenna, a 10-34VDC power input connector, and one ATX power switch. One 2.5" SATA HDD drive bay and mSATA are also integrated in the embedded box system.

The eBOX626-842-FL will be available from mid-September 2015.
