Powered by the E3826 1.46GHz dual-core Intel Atom SoC, the eBOX625-841-FL industrial-grade, fanless, embedded system has been introduced by Axiomtek. The device, which features one 8GB DDR3L-1066/1333 SO-DIMM socket, is thinner and lighter than the eBOX620 series on which it is based.

The eBOX625-841-FL system’s dual display and connection capabilities make it suitable for digital signage, transportation, kiosk, industrial control automation and medical equipment.

Providing a dual display capability, the eBOX625-841-FL is equipped with VGA and HDMI interfaces. The device also offers rich I/O connections, including two COM ports (RS-232/422/485), audio port, dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, four high-speed USB 2.0 ports, three SMA type connector openings for antenna, one 12VDC power input connector and one ATX power switch. For storage, one 2.5" SATA HDD drive bay and mSATA are also integrated.

Guaranteeing reliable operation across a -20 to +60°C temperature range, the system is manufactured from heavy-duty aluminium and steel. The device, which is CE certified, has full power protection with OVP, OCP and SCP.

“Axiomtek’s eBOX625-841-FL is based on the eBOX620 series but lighter and thinner. To meet the diversity needs of network and wireless communications, the super slim platform is equipped with two PCIe mini card slots, one SIM card socket and three SMA-type antenna openings, which are able to support wireless, 3G, LTE internet module. Furthermore, two 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports are able to support Jumbo Frame and PXE Remote Boot to enhance its connection speed. With more compact appearance and greater affordability, the eBOX625-841-FL not only maintain its high performance but also offer more competitive price,” commented Vincent Ji, Product Manager of Product & Marketing Division, Axiomtek.

The eBOX625-841-FL embedded system will be available from December 2014.
