Digital signage player offers 4K UHD video playback
Based on 4th Gen Intel Core processors, IBASE Technology has announced the SI-83 digital signage player with an 2.4GHz Intel Core i7-4500EQ or 2.7 Intel Core i5-4400E processor. The system is suitable for use in applications such as digital menu boards in restaurants, retail advertising in shopping malls and hotel lobby signage.
The SI-83 features the QM87 integrated graphics controller and supports three outputs with two DisplayPort 1.2 and one HDMI 1.4a, offering impressive system performance and full HD videos. The HDMI interface delivers a video playback with resolution of 3840x2160px at 30Hz, while the DisplayPort interface can support 4K (3840x2160px at 60Hz) content. With support for smooth 1080P video playback on three independent displays, it can fully meet the needs of various signage applications.
Measuring 175x116x32mm, the slim unit has a segregated ventilation system to keep contaminants out and enhance system stability. I/O connections include two Gigabit Ethernet ports, two USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, audio and a 12VDC-in jack. Storage and expansion are supported with one mSATA and a Mini PCI-E x1 slot for WiFi, Bluetooth, 3G and TV tuner options.
