COM Express Compact module suits intelligent systems

The company's first Compact module powered by AMD Embedded G-series SoC, DFI has announced a Type 6 COM Express Compact module. The SE967 is suited for intelligent systems that display videos, graphics and interactive content such as gaming machines, medical equipment, security & surveillance, smart grid, ATM and POS.

The AMD G-series SOC is a small-footprint and low-power solution that reduces overall system costs, as well as improving boost residency and power & thermal management.

The SE967 features one VGA and two HDMI/DVI/DisplayPort interfaces, supporting two simultaneous displays. The module also supports hardware acceleration for DirectX 11.1, H.264, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, AVC, VC-1 and WMV to deliver excellent graphics capabilities. Flexible expansion interfaces include one PCIe x4, four PCIe x1, one LAN, eight USB, two SATA, one LPC, one I2C, one SMBus, two serial and 8-bit digital I/O for device controls. There is also an optional SD interface for data storage.
