The UNI-I/O card, which allows users to customise an IHSE Draco tera enterprise KVM matrix switch with fibre or coax SFPs has been released by IHSE. Supporting either SDI signals or USB 3.0 sources, the coax/fibre hybrid can be configured to the desired cabling requirements. Featuring eight ports, the card allows users to reside broadcast sources and KVM sources in the same matrix frame.

With this, users can edit and play out video sources in real-time broadcast environments. The UNI-I/O card also support SuperSpeed USB 3.0 sources with throughput rates up to 5Gbps, making them suitable for switching postproduction editing software, USB 3.0 cameras, HD videos and remote storage devices.

By using the appropriate coax adapter cable, users can integrate the card into the existing coax infrastructure. For fibre installations, users can adapt the UNI-I/O with the 3G-SDI fibre SFP option. The SDI media conversion between signals available from a coax network to fibre output or vice-versa, are supported by the card.
