Axiomtek’s brand new rBOX204 Din-rail fanless embedded system utilizes the low-power AMD LX800 processor and is designed to withstand temperatures ranging from -40°C to +70°C for use in extremely cold or hot environments. The cost-effective rBOX204 supports four Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) ports, which can power IEEE802.3af compliant powered devices (PD) and transmit data simultaneously, saving wiring costs and suitable for outdoor applications such as IP video surveillance, APs, industrial controls, and intercoms. Multiple built-in serial ports, high-speed LANs and USB 2.0 ports enable fast and efficient data computation, communication and acquisition. The rBOX204 features SNMP V1/V2c support for secured network management. To streamline implementation of management applications, Axiomtek has launch “AXView” monitoring software package for customers to build their own management systems easily and quickly.
The low-power rBOX204 features a wide-temperature operation, a super compact form-factor, a complete expandability, and AXView monitoring software for both indoor and outdoor industrial environments.

Axiomtek’s wide-temperature rBOX204 Din-rail fanless embedded system with four PoE ports is suitable for intelligent computing and communication solutions in critical environments, such as power plant automation, facility monitoring systems, and intelligent transportation systems. The robust Din-rail fanless unit has a compact form factor, making them ideal for both indoor and outdoor industrial environments where space is limited. The IP30-rated rBOX204 meets Safety Agency requirements and has passed heavy industrial EMI/EMS testing. This durable unit supports PoE on ports 1 to 4 and features a redundant Ethernet LAN connection for greater availability and reliability. Front accessible I/O cabling is convenient for wiring and maintenance. Besides, the intelligent ideal comes with AXView software package for quick and easy startup”, said Eric Chiang, Product Manager of Product & Marketing Division at Axiomtek.
To fulfill different application needs, the rBOX204 comes with complete expandability, including two COM ports, one 10/100Mbps Ethernet with magnetic isolation protection, two USB 2.0 ports, four PoE (IEEE802.3af) ports, one VGA output, and one CompactFlash™ socket. In addition, it comes equipped with 48VDC power input with a terminal block. Pre-installed with Linux, Windows® CE 6.0 or Windows® XP Embedded, the rBOX204 provides programmers with a friendly environment for developing application software at a lower cost. To fit various application requirements, the rBOX204 can be Din-rail mounted. Beside, the ready-to-run computing system equipped with AXView monitoring software is a total solution. Based on SNMP protocols, AXView makes it easy for system administrators to manage and monitor remote computers. AXView also contains a variety of easy-to-use management utilities, agent services and libraries.
