An HMI panel engineered to provide the highest level of flexibility and reliability to support automation and system optimisation requirements, the IOT-500, has been announced by Arbor Technology. The IOT-500 is based on the Dual Core MTK MT2601 industrial chipset from MediaTek and supports for the Android v5.1 operating system.

The IOT-500 offers a variety of connectivity interfaces, including LAN, two USB2.0 ports, a RS232 COM port, four GPIO ports, a CAN BUS for motor vehicle interface and a GSM/GPRS SIM slot. The IOT-500 supports DC power input of 12-24V and features a 2MP camera and speaker with built-in microphone. The ARBOR IOT-500 provides unmatched flexibility and compatibility with commercial equipment, industrial machinery, motor vehicles and complex systems requiring virtualisation, remote monitoring, data acquisition and control.

The IOT-500 features a 5” high-resolution display and durable capacitive touch interface. The IP-65 ingress protection rating, a MIL810 certification for shock and absorption and a wide operating temperature range from -1 to +50°C ensures the IOT-500 is suited for tasks in the most challenging environments.

The HMI panel is lightweight in construction and sealed in a waterproof chassis designed to perform in environments with high levels of vibration, shock and temperature extremes. The rugged construction is matched by an extensive set of integrated connectivity options including WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, GPRS/WCDMA and Bluetooth 4.1.
