3Com Compatible 1000Base-T SFP Transceiver for Copper Networks

GAO Fiber Optics has launched its 3Com compatible 1000base-T SFP transceiver. The SFP transceiver module is a hot-pluggable I/O device that plugs into module sockets. It connects the electrical circuitry of the module with optical or copper network and connects patch cords with computer or UPC connectors. The transceiver is specially designed for 10 Gigabit per second SONET/SDH, fiber channel, Gigabit Ethernet, 10 Gigabit Ethernet and for use in applications such as DWDM links.
This 3Com compatible transceiver, model 3CSFP93, has a maximum cable length of 100 meters for 1000Base-T SFP module copper connections. It offers customers a wide variety of 10 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity options for data centers, enterprise wiring closets, and service provider transport applications. Equipped with a wide range SFP-based module, the hot-pluggable transceiver is fully compatible with its equivalent 3Com device.
