Job Description:

The company is currently seeking a candidate for the Systems Engineer position in Coventry, UK.

You will be responsible for the delivery of technical solution delivery. The role is challenging and interactive, suited to a candidate who is methodical, with excellent attention to detail, possessing great interpersonal and communication skills. The Systems Engineer would work well under pressure and be self-motivated with the ability to work on a site, alongside clients representing business as well as an open office environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Design and specification of hardware/ software /electrical /electronic and system requirements, including preparation of drawings.

  •  Liaison with CAD design and Production areas to provide engineering support for design and manufacture of hardware.

  • Configuration and testing of internal & 3rd party software.

  • Participation in structured factory testing of systems.

  •  Installation of telemetry systems.

  • Commission hardware and software telemetry systems.

  • Prepare and present training courses.

  • Prepare system documentation, including functional specifications, test documents and system support manuals.

  • Provide technical support to the sales and customer services area and directly to customers.

  • Identify and assess project risks and issues.

  • Identify and capitalise on project opportunities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree qualification in Electrical or Communications Engineering.

  •  Experience in ClearSCADA database design, deployment and testing.

  • Experience in commissioning wide variety telemetry systems.

  • Experience of the full project life cycle.
