Texas Instruments is currently recruiting 1 intern for its analogue design team based in Newbury, UK. TI is looking for candidates who have completed a Bachelor’s Degree and are taking a Master’s degree/PHD or in the penultimate year of a 5 year degree course. If successful during your internship, there is potential for a full time position. The length of the internship could be from 6 months to a year - to be negotiated.

Reporting to the Design Centre Manager, you will be responsible for the design, simulation and bench characterisation of analogue and mixed signal devices on site at the Newbury Design Centre and working closely with other team members in Dallas, Texas. 

You will gain experience in the following:

  • Top down design methodologies including specification, modeling and IC verification
  • Analogue circuit design within a mixed signal environment. 
  • Design and simulation software for both block level and top level IC design 
  • Problem solving techniques and team work 
  • Communication development across a design sites including design reviews, layout reviews and specification discussions. 
  • Bench characterization and debug of silicon


  • Applies knowledge & expertise gained to creatively solve difficult and challenging problems. 
  • Develops solution to difficult problems that require investigation. 
  • Good knowledge of analogue design techniques 
  • Experience of the Cadence design platform. 
  • Communicates effectively with others

Candidates should be working towards M.s.c / Meng or equivalent in Electrical Engineering , Electronics or similar including courses in analogue transistor level design and layout. Candidates also must have or be achieving a 2:1 grade for Bachelor’s degree.
