Enabling the construction of complex and efficient network structures, the Ha-VIS mCon 3000 Ethernet switches from HARTING are optimised for use in harsh industrial environments.

Ethernet switches need to become more efficient, with the HARTING switches addressing this demand by offering high availability, network security, monitoring capabilities and high reliability. The switches integrate the PROFINET I/O device stack, meaning the switches can be deployed and incorporated seamlessly into existing and newly planned PROFINET applications.

Incorporating  the Media Redundancy Protocol (MRP) to create redundant topologies, the switches also integrate RSTP (Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol). Reduced cycle times and faster processes necessitate the synchronisation of participants in plants. The Precision Time Protocol (PTP Version 2, IEEE 1588) provides the highest possibly accuracy, and is also supported by the new mCon 3000 switches.
