PROVERTHA is extending its portfolio of compact M8 connection solutions with versions in stainless steel (V4A) featuring A-coding and crimp termination (AWG 26-22). The 360° shielded M8 connectors with IP67 protection are predestined for demanding applications in Industrial Ethernet networks such as EtherCAT. With their high robustness, vibration resistance and torsional strength, they ensure a reliable, functionally stable Ethernet connection and interference-free data transmission.

The new three and four-pin male and female versions with twisted crimp contacts are specially designed for demanding requirements in the medical technology and food industries.

The V4A-M8 connectors are also used in cleanroom environments in industry and in off-shore applications. Other applications that benefit from the advantages of the new M8 connectors include automatic stamping machines and robot applications in industrial automation, with high demands on shock and vibration resistance and torsional strength.

In devices, machines and systems of the food industry and medical technology, the highest demands are placed on components and materials with regard to degree of protection, cleanliness, corrosion resistance and hygiene. During machine cleaning, cleaning agents and disinfectants are often used, which can cause corrosion.

The same applies to offshore environments with aggressive salt water. PROVERTHA meets these special requirements with the new stainless steel M8 connectors. The connectors can be washed off with standard cleaning agents and are resistant to corrosion.

The all-metal housing offers protection against interference and high mechanical stress in harsh environments. Due to the compact dimensions, reliable connections can be realised even in confined installation conditions. The M8 connectors are easy to assemble in the field thanks to their ease of installation and few components.

The plastics used are certified for railway applications in accordance with EN 45545-2. Further specifications include a rated current of 4A, at least 200 mating cycles and a temperature range from -20°C to +85°C.
