Manufacturer of PC board connectors and semiconductor sockets, Advanced Interconnections (AIC), has announced the successful recertification of its quality management system to the newest ISO 9001 Standard. ISO 9001:2015 is focused on consistently meeting customer and regulatory requirements while striving for process improvement and risk abatement.

AIC’s quality management system has been ISO 9001 certified since 1996 by NQA, an independently accredited, global registrar. To meet the requirements of the new 2015 version, AIC made improvements throughout its entire quality management system including a comprehensive review and update of documents and processes.

Employees of AIC are trained and committed to the company’s Quality Policy, centred around three guiding principles to ensure customer satisfaction; communication to ensure that requirements are understood, consistency to produce accurate and repeatable results, and continual improvement based on the use of objective data to measure and drive improvements.

According to Curt Johnson, Quality Manager: “Thanks to the hard work of our employees, AIC achieved this new certification on schedule and ahead of many other organisations in our industry. We look forward to the added level of assurance it gives to customers that AIC is consistently able to meet their requirements.”

ISO 9001 is the internationally recognised standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS). It is the most widely used QMS standard in the world, with over 1.1 million certificates issued to organisations in 178 countries.
