Now in stock at PEI-Genesis is the Amphenol 62IP range of miniature bayonet-lock connectors, which feature IP67 environmental protection and a moulded thermoplastic construction that makes them particularly well suited to industrial applications.
Offered with PEI’s standard 48-hour assembly service, these RoHS-compliant connectors are available in shell sizes 8, 10 and 12 with up to ten contacts. Receptacles incorporate a 4-hole mounting flange, while plugs include a heavy-duty ribbed coupling nut and accessory thread.

All shells, coupling nuts, panel nuts and accessories are moulded from thermoplastic to give a smooth, low-lustre black finish that requires no additional plating. Neoprene rubber is used for the insert material, and the connectors are supplied with gold-plated solder-bucket contacts.

Featuring designs based on the BS 9522 F0017 standard, the 62IP series utilises positive shell-to-shell keying to prevent any mis-mating or cross plugging of adjacently mounted connectors.

The connectors are rated for a minimum of 500 mating cycles and can withstand exposure to salt spray for up to 500 hours. Operating temperature range is specified as -20 to +70degC.
