Omnetics Connector Corporation is now offering a new series of miniature polarized nano connectors for military, aerospace, defence and medical applications where size and weight are critical. The insulators are designed to hold one row of pins and one row of sockets, which polarizes the connector without the space normally required for guide pins, making these among the smallest polarized high reliability connectors in the world.

In addition, they are able to withstand temperatures as low as -55degC and as high as +125degC (200degC with high temperature epoxy). Available in 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 position sizes, these new polarized devices are on a 0.635mm (0.025”) pitch spacing and feature gold-plated contacts. Rated at 1A per contact, with a maximum contact resistance of 25mΩ (71mV) @ 1A, the connectors feature an insulation resistance of 5000MΩ minimum at 100Vdc. Insulator material is thermoplastic polyester, type GLCP-30F to MIL-M-24519. Sockets are made of copper alloy and pins are beryllium copper. Termination options include pre-wiring, straight tail, horizontal surface mount and vertical surface mount.
