Multi-pin high voltage connectors for up to 5 pins and 15kV DC
GES High Voltage has upgraded its Series MC multi-pin high voltage connectors designed for 2-5 pins and operating voltages up to 15kV DC. The design was overhauled with the aim of increasing customer and user benefits. Special attention was placed on functional design and the homogenisation of the materials. All types of the revised version are 100% compatible with all supplied MC connectors. Old and new connectors mate together. The mounting cutouts for panel mount sockets and plugs remain unchanged.
At the heart of the design revision is the integration of cable strain relief and shield connection into the connector housing and thus the omission of an external optional cable gland. The clamping system offers five finely graduated clamping sizes for cable outer diameters of 6.5 - 14mm.
In addition, instead of the integrated cable connection, two types with an open M20 or M25 thread are offered. In this way, cables can also be connected to the connector via protective hoses or corrugated pipes with the appropriate hose or corrugated pipe fittings.
Series MC high voltage connectors are commonly use in applications like high voltage testers, semiconductor testing or UHV surface analysis.
