High density connectors deliver data rates of up to 10 Gbps

The OCS Connectors are part of Amphenol Aerospace’s newest offering of its environmentally-compliant MIL-DTL-38999 interconnect products. The connectors provide improved signal integrity via reduced cross talk, as well as enhanced attenuation performance as compared to the industry standard quadrax.

Mouser Electronics is now stocking the connectors which are designed for high-speed data transmission, these rugged, high density connectors deliver data rates of up to 10 Gbps per pair while withstanding a minimum of 500 mating cycles.

The connectors are offered in an insert arrangement of 13-53, with a MIL-DTL-38999 series III shell size of 13. They feature a reduced size and weight with a front release, and provide a rear removable contact system for easy repair. All of the connectors meet the environmental requirements of MIL-DTL-38999, and use off-the-shelf Mil Spec backshells. Solder or PCB tail contacts are available, and contact and plating materials are consistent with SAE-AS39029.

Engineered for high-speed communication applications means the connectors are ideal for use in military defense, commercial and industrial markets. Applications include, but are not limited to, 10/40G Ethernet, HDMI/DVI video, 1/2/4/8G Fibre Channel, SATA, Serial RapidIO and PCI Express.

Operating temperature range is -65°C to +175°C, and a variety of shell styles, gender, and mounting options are available.
