HARTING has introduced metal-cased versions of its compact and versatile Han PushPull range of connectors, opening up new applications for the devices in industrial networks. With the new devices, it is possible to configure a single mechanical interface sealed to IP65/67 and containing inserts for data, power and signal connections. This would allow, for example, a panel feed-through for an industrial Ethernet connection along with a power connection at 230 or 400 V.
Using the small HARTING PushPull series (Variant 4 according to IEC 61076-3-106) with a hybrid device interface, a power supply with 32 V and 5 A rating can be integrated with a data communications interface using high-speed Ethernet.

The result is considerable saving in the number of connection ports, the number of cables and the overall space requirement for interconnections.

The equipment integration can take place with straight or angled sockets mounted directly onto a printed circuit board. For fast and simple equipment installation, an extensive assortment of system cables is available.

The standard Han® PushPull series (variant 14 according to IEC/PAS 61076-3-117) is available with a complete assortment of bulkheads for data interfaces (RJ45 and optical SCRJ) and for power supplies. Assembly and installation are simple and fast using HARTING’s Han-Quick Lock® high-speed connection technology.

The new devices are particularly suited to the integration of PROFINET conformal device interfaces in industrial equipment and switchgear cabinets.

A wide range of accessories includes new dust caps for the equipment and cable side to give optimal protection for fibre optic interfaces.
