Lane Electronics, one of the UK’s leading interconnection specialists, announced the immediate availability of an environmentally-friendly co-axial cable. Called ENVIROFLEX, the cable is manufactured by HUBER+SUHNER and is a direct replacement for standard RG co-axial cables that contain halogen and in the case of fire produce highly toxic corrosive gases.
ENVIROFLEX is flame retardant, halogen free and is fully compatible with all standard connectors used with RG cables, including soldered inner conductor versions.

According to Lane’s Managing Director Simon Hammerton, the new cable has more than just the all-important environmental benefits. It offers an appreciable price advantage, is lower in weight and is more flexible making it easier to handle. Fully UL approved, ENVIROFLEX also meets IEC60754-1 requirements.

Lane is an ideal source for all key connector types including circular, filtered, RF, coaxial, sub – miniature, backshells and adaptors, D connectors, aerospace, test & measurement, IDC, PCB connectors, edge connectors and connectors for rack and panel applications.
