An interconnectivity series from HARTING suitable for use in a range of industries and applications, including rail and transportation, and automation and robotics in plant machinery is available at RS Components. The Han-Eco B series of connector hoods and housings is a major addition to the manufacturer’s Han-Eco portfolio.

The Eco B series has more than 100 robust devices that offer excellent resistance in demanding industrial environments, as well as integrating HARTING’s Han-Eco ‘click and mate’ snap-in functionality for fast and easy assembly.

The series offers sizes from 6B to 24B, and a range of designs including bulkhead-mount, surface-mount and cable-to-cable types, as well as versions suitable for outdoor use.

Devices also feature a high-performance plastic construction that meets the EN 45545-2 and IEC 61948 standards, as well as offering IP65 protection and significant savings in weight compared to traditional metal housings.

A significant benefit offered by the series is rear-side assembly, which can lead to major time saving, especially in control panel applications.

It provides companies with the ability to change the configuration of connections quickly and efficiently, significantly reducing downtime.

Use of the series means that technicians do not have to install cables through the bulkhead-mounted housing before assembling the contact inserts.

The series enables pre-assembled rear-mount inserts to be directly snapped into the housing, thereby greatly simplifying assembly of control cabinets.

This approach also enables flexibility to separately pre-assemble cabinet units and cable harnesses.

The Han-Eco B series already offers 44 different versions of the bulkhead mounting housing, which allows insertion of monobloc or modular inserts.

It also offers mating compatibility with metal hoods and housings, such as devices from HARTING’s Han B series.

The HARTING Han-Eco B series is now shipping in the EMEA and Asia Pacific regions.
