Insulation displacement contact connectors
Lane Electronics supplies an extensive range of insulation displacement contact connectors and mating headers, alongside a wide range of application tooling and accessories. The only IDC connector system available with a cable pre-fixation on the sockets, the MAS-CON connectors can be terminated to discrete wire or flat cable.
Available in 2.5 4mm or 3.96 mm (0.1 in or 0.156 in), the MAS-CON connectors are available for through or end terminations with flat, polarized and locking header styles and can be supplied in straight or right angle configurations. The 0.1in connectors are available in 2 through 36 ways and can handle up to 4A per contact. In contrast, the larger pitch connectors are available in 2 through 24 ways and can handle up to 12.5A. Cables from 18 to 28 AWG discrete or flat wire cable can be terminated.
Incorporating a wire retainer to secure the wire in place prior to termination, each connector is colour-coded in order to identify the correct wire gauge with ease. Lane Electronics also offers a wide range of accessories, including snap on end and through connector covers, strain relief combination covers and polarizing keys.
