The eCon 9000 and mCon 9000 are industrial Ethernet switches which extend the range of managed and unmanaged Ethernet devices available from the HARTING technology group. Each switch allows up to seven Ethernet clients to be connected via M12 sockets (with D-coding) at the front of the device. Further Ethernet connections can be made over the backplane inside a 19-inch rack.

These new product families are suitable for use in industrial applications,
and support both Ethernet (10 MBit/s) and Fast Ethernet (100 MBit/s). Line
and star topology networks as well as mixed configurations are supported.

The ports of the Ethernet switches are fitted with integrated LEDs, which
enable easy and fast network diagnosis. In addition to these optical
indicators, all switches have a potential-free relay contact, which can be
connected via the DIN cable connector.

The eCon 9000 products are 'plug and play' as standard. The mCon 9000
product range has, in addition to the standard functions, the ability to be
managed over an SNMP interface.
