DSL has introduced a new range of compact and robust industrial I/O products. The EX- 9510 is designed to extend RS422/485 serial signals up to 1,200mtrs, while the EX-9531 converts a USB port to an RS485/422 serial port. The third in the new series is the EX-9486-w that is a serial LAN/WAN converter that provides control of a serial device over a local network or across the internet.
As well as boosting signals, the DIN-rail EX-9510 repeaters increase the number of connected nodes to a maximum of 128 and automatically detect the data flow to switch the direction of the lines accordingly. The auto baud rate detector also configures RS-422/485 signals to any rate up to 115.2Kbps without an external switch.

The intelligent and stackable DSL EX-9531 converter connects to a PC USB port or USB hub to provide a single, high-speed RS-422 or RS-485 port for easy connectivity to traditional serial devices. Powered from the USB port, the EX-9531 does not need a separate power adapter and opto-isolators provide 3000Vdc of protection against destructive voltage spikes on the data lines.

The new EX-9486 is designed for use in harsh industrial environments to operate RS-232 or RS-422/485 serial devices such as PLCs or meters through Wi-Fi 802.11b & g or 10/100Mbit/s Ethernet networks. Using COM/TTY driver software, serial ports can be set up to work over a network instantly.
