Developer of innovative connector solutions, Hirose, has expanded the current carrying capacity of the EnerBee power connector family. The DF60 Series wire-to-board connector now supports applications requiring current ratings up to 65A. Featuring a compact space-saving design, the DF60 Series power connector has a pitch of only 10.16mm.

The DF60 Series is available in straight, right angle and in-line configurations, as well as a finger-safe electric shock prevention type (DF60F). Keying variations are also offered in black, red and gray.

Providing secure mating with a clear tactile click, the DF60 Series utilises a highly reliable five-point contact with independent contact springs to ensure reliable and secure connectivity in harsh environments. The locking mechanism is contained within the connector header. The socket and header design avoids short circuit between adjacent contact.

The DF60 Series connectors accept AWG #8 to #12 cables, and are RoHS compliant with UL and TUV pending.

“The EnerBee connector family incorporates high contact reliability mechanisms for industrial power applications, as well as cutting-edge technology for high performance and functionality. To meet market demands, Hirose expanded the DF60 Series to offer a higher current carrying capacity and finger-safe electric shock prevention," said Bill Kysiak, Product Marketing Manager for Hirose Electric USA. "Hirose continues to expand our already broad power connector portfolio for demanding environments.”

The DF60 and DF60F are commonly used in automotive, industrial, medical, power conditioning, robotic and telecom applications.

The DF60 Series wire-to-board power connector has a rated voltage of 1,000V AC/DC and an operating temperature of -55 to +105°C.
