To allow end users to create a customised solution which fits the dimensions and requirements of their application, Hylec-APL has launched a range of DIN rail mounted PCB housings which feature a modular design. The components are suitable for use in applications requiring timers, counters, relays or any other control or monitoring equipment where quick installation and easy access may be required.

Both stepped and non-stepped designs are available in a choice of three heights: 60, 73 and 100mm, with a number of different lengths available across the range. Each kit is supplied with the specified module case, base and DIN Rail clip and PCB terminals, covers and lids as appropriate. Depending on preference, blank or transparent lids are available with either a snap-on or hinged fit. Once assembled, the PCBs can be mounted horizontally or vertically with multiple PCBs being accommodated if required.

Mark Severn, Director of Sales, Hylec-APL, commented: “It’s our aim to offer our customers solutions which make their professional lives easier; whether that’s simplifying installation processes, reducing total project costs or improving reliability. This range allows users to customise their housings around the needs of the project and then quickly mount the housing wherever it’s required. If they are likely to require access to the PCB at a later date they can specify a hinged lid, otherwise a transparent, snap-on lid allows the equipment to be monitored.”
