Providing a reliable connection in environments subject to severe shock and vibration, the new TBC plug connectors from Multi-Contact are suitable for both mobile and stationary applications. Using their exisiting Multilam technology, Multi-Contact's latest connectors are resistant to fuels and other hydrocarbons and can also withstand temperatures across a wide range from -40°C to +125°C.

The connectors are available with 6mm and 8mm contact diameters and in two and three pole versions. The range is rated for voltages of up to 1000V and continuous currents as high as 180A. The flat design saves space, with the incorporated locking catch enabling simple connection and disconnection whilst also enabling prevention of pole reversal due to incorrect coupling. Environmental protection is IP2X unmated and IP54 mated when using the heat shrink sleeving.

The connectors are suitable for use with electric motors and batteries in industrial applications such as lifts, winches, cranes and battery chargers, as well as in electric vehicles such as municipal vehicles, forklift trucks and golf carts.
