Connector solutions are approved for use outside & inside
Suitable for use in harsh environments, the WME family of cable connector solutions has been released by SOURIAU. The family consists of connectors, closing cap, backshells and accessories. Approved by the EN 16330 for both outside and inside cabin connectivity, the components can be used in a wide range of applications, from winter and road service vehicles to agricultural, mining and mobile machinery.
The UV resistant components feature a waterproof sealing as well as a self-closing cap with a secondary locking function, which provides resistance against shock and vibration. To facilitate connection while wearing gloves, the connectors feature enhanced grip.
The WME1 series of external vehicle attachments consists of Halogen free and RoHS compliant thermoplastic shells, cable glands, closing caps and inserts. The components, which can withstand temperatures ranging from -30 to +85°C, are IP68/69K sealing rated and resistant to a wide array of fluids such as gas and mineral oils, acids and cleaning agents. Withstanding voltages of up to 5,000V, the attachments have a mechanical durability of 250 mating cycles.
The WME2 is an internal cabin solution, which is also Halogen free and RoHS approved. The UL94 V-O flammability rated solution operates across a temperature range of -40 to +125°C, can withstand voltages of up to 1500V and has a mechanical durability of 250 mating cycles.
