Cap ranges provide extra protection for connectors

Three ranges of protective caps for cylindrical connectors have been launched by Amphenol Socapex. These ranges round out the current standard series to provide protection for all 38999 series I, II and III, PT/451, RJ Field and USB Field connectors. Amphenol Socapex's self-closing caps offer ease of use and optimal protection.

They screw directly onto receptacles and are available in two types of material: composite for PT/451 connectors and aluminium for the 38999 range.

A large choice of plating finishes - including nickel, black zinc nickel, and cadmium - is available to provide increased protection against corrosion, impacts, and vibrations. In addition, the metal cap for the 38999 range is protected to IP67.

The standard versions with cordset are compatible with all 38999, PT/451, RJ, and USB Field cylindrical connectors. The caps are available in aluminium, stainless steel, and bronze with a wide range of plating finishes, cordsets, and lanyards to meet every possible need, application, and environment (IP68).

  • Silicone caps

Amphenol Socapex's silicone caps with nylon cordset withstand temperatures up to 200°C and are compatible with the aforementioned connectors. They are a cost-effective alternative and are IP67 rated for harsh environments where damage from dust and moisture is possible.
