Amphenol has announced that it has incorporated its AT contact technology into the company's AT Circular thermoplastic connectors. Sealed and rated to 125ºC, the newly enhanced ATC connectors are ideal for communication and diagnostic testing in heavy duty trucks, buses, construction and agriculture equipment.

Capable of withstanding current up to 13 A, these RoHs compliant connectors are available in 3-, 5- and 9-way receptacles. Drop-in replacements to existing panel designs, the 9-way receptacles are also available with a jam nut for quick assembly.

Mating with a positive reverse bayonet retention system, the ATC connectors allow for quick mating and unmating. This ATC reverse bayonet coupling design helps decrease installation costs and increase reliability. Environmentally sealed against moisture and contaminants, the heavy-duty industrial connectors are corrosion resistant and durable to 100 mating cycles.

Operating over a wide temperature range from -55ºC to +125ºC, the connectors offer a resistance of 6 Ohms using MIL-STD-1344 method 3002-1. Available in both nickel and gold plating, Amphenol’s ATC connectors feature size 16 machined contacts and are made from a high quality copper alloy. Featuring a crimp tensile strength of 25 lbs, the ugraded connectors are water resistant to 3 feet.

Stamped and formed contacts are available upon request, as are connectors with higher temperature ratings to 150ºC. Various caps are available for each version.
