Round and oval models have been added to OKW’s range of SYNERGY electronic enclosures, which are the company’s first to be manufactured from both plastic and aluminium. Therefore, the SYNERGY range now consists of 36 enclosures offered in four types: round, oval, square and edge (rectangular). The enclosures are particularly suitable for medical and therapeutic systems, measurement and control technology, home automation, peripherals and building services electronics.

The SYNERGY enclosures feature the company’s fast-connect system, which is based around four internal assembly pillars that hold each enclosure together. Glass reinforced polyamide pillars snap into the recessed top panel, locate the assembly extrusion and are fixed to the bottom part with four stainless steel Torx T10 anti-tamper screws. On request, several pillars can be snapped together to create custom heights in 5mm increments.

Extruded from AlMgSi 0.5 aluminium, the main body section of each enclosure is blasted with glass beads and anodised in silver for a high quality finish. On request, enclosures can be anodised in black. The top and base sections of the enclosures are manufactured from UV-resistant ASA+PC-FR (UL 94 V-0). They come in black as standard, however, custom colours are available on request. PCBs can be mounted in the top and bottom of the enclosures, while cables of up to ø 3mm can be routed through the bottom section.

Round and square models are offered in three dimensions: 100x100; 120x120 and 140x140mm, all in heights of 40, 70 or 100mm. Oval and edge models are also available in three dimensions: 160x80; 180x90 and 200x100mm, all in heights of 40, 70 or 100mm.

The round and oval models are available now and priced from £28. Customisation services include CNC milling and drilling, printing or engraving of legends and logos, special finishes, keypads and assembly.
