As the sole distributor, Schukat now exclusively offers EMC-shielded electronics enclosures from Streitbürger Gehäusetechnik UG (STB-GH-TEC). With their patented EMC-shielding - unique to the market - the German producer achieves maximum shielding of 99.999999% up to 105db - to date, the highest known shielding value.

Using a wire arc spray technique, zinc (Zn=99.99% pure) is applied mechanically to the substrate material. This creates a heterogeneous, all-metal surface with an equally unique thickness of 100µ, which even allows soldering.

In comparison: Alternative processes are currently only capable of depositing a 25µ layer on a substrate. This makes Streitbürger the frontrunner in the shielding of electronic devices, a crucial position given the planned intensification in 2016 of the EMC Directive in regard to such shielding.

For 25 years, the Streitbürger enclosures, both with and without EMC-shielding, have proven themselves as high-quality products for industrial use. Featuring stabilisers that provide extremely high form stability, the enclosures are also tensioned after moulding, giving them very good fitting accuracy. Threaded brass inserts in the upper section serve both to fix the circuit board in place and to screw the enclosure together, at the same time inhibiting wear caused by repeated opening and closing.

The fitting of circuit boards can be adjusted individually for various PCBs. With their tongue-and-groove system, the enclosures are resistant to splashed water, dust and humidity, and are temperature resistant to 65°C. Currently, there are two different mounting cams are available for attaching PCBs, both of which are available as standard direct from Schukat stock.
