'Do it yourself' with online configurator

After taking over all customer-specific electronic assembly systems from Rittal and rebranding all product names 'from Ri to Hei', HEITEC has presented a comprehensive online configurator for their HeiPac subrack series Vario and Easy. The online Subrack Configurator can be accessed directly on HEITEC’s website.

By following dedicated steps, which comprise the selection criteria Design, Application, Installation equipment, Depths, Mounting, Cover and Rear, customers will get to their final configuration, including an exact parts list. With each selection step, the configuration status is currently displayed, and a preview image also illustrates the look of the subrack. Based on the final configuration, the tool can send a customer query directly to local partners on-site, thus allowing a fast feedback in the respective country language.

"With the new configurator, we make it even easier for our customers to design individual products based on our wide range of housing and subrack components," said Roland Chochoiek, Managing Director Elektronik, HEITEC. "The automatic configurator is aware of all individual product components and possible combinations and thus allows the user to explore of the diversity of variants in a playful way."

A German-language version will be released in the first quarter of 2017 as part of HEITEC’s rebranding activities. Depending on the customers’ acceptance, configurators for other product families may also be provided.
