TEKO has launched its ‘TEKAM’ range of aluminium instrument cases. These enclosures have been designed for fast installation of the electronics. The all aluminium design allows good levels of EMC protection to be implemented. Typical applications will include hand-held test and measurement devices and Radio control equipment, plus wall mounted monitoring systems, security devices and building control equipment.
The ‘TEKAM’ cases consist of an extruded case body with two die-cast end panels which are assembled by four or eight self-tapping screws. The case extrusion includes a series of internal guide rails for mounting the PCBs. Customers can specify the cases with flat end panels for hand-held or portable use, or end panels with integrated wall mounting ears. Two moulded rubber gaskets are also included for sealing the mating faces of the end panels and case extrusion.

‘TEKAM cases are available in an extensive range of nine standard sizes from 70 x 60 x 31 mm to 175 x 106 x 46 mm. Two standard colours are offered: off-white, RAL 9002 or black, RAL 9004.

Recessed areas on both sides of the case extrusion, and on the front face of the end panels, can be used for mounting membrane keypads or product labels. The end panels with wall mounting ears include two pre-drilled fixing holes for easy fitting to a wall or mounting surface. The end panels can also be used for mounting RF antennas.

TEKO can supply the ‘TEKAM’ enclosures with additional holes for push-buttons, connectors and displays etc., plus silk-screen printed legends and logos. The cases can also be painted in alternative colours. Standard prices start at £11.
