Designed to accommodate a wide range of compact COTS applications, the Mild to Wild rack mount SBS architecture has been released by Single Board Systems. Removing the need for different system architectures for varying industrial and military applications, the 14 slot, 19” SBS architecture enables expansion.

To run legacy applications ranging from Intel P4 to the latest dual Intel 10 Core Xeon CPUs on Ivy Bridge architecture, computer power in the system can be configured. Across 10 slots, the Mild to Wild system’s backplane board can interface with combinations of older PCI, PCI/PCIe and PCIe. For HDDs, SSDs and DVD drives in fixed mount or on removable carriers, four 5.25 shock-mounted storage slots are available.

The Mild to Wild system is suitable for compact COTS applications ranging from process control to high end automated test equipment systems. Standard power in the SBS architecture is 650W, however, other power options are available on request.

For branding, Single Board Systems can also provide custom backlit company logos. Alongside support from the company, the Mild to Wild system is offered with a five year warranty.
