Bicker Elektronik has expanded its Power+Board programme with offerings from two well-known board manufacturers. In addition to Fujitsu's industrial PCBs, bundles with embedded mainboards from ASRock and Perfectron are also available. The three mainboard manufacturers excel through quality, long-term availability and an extended temperature range for industrial applications.

The scalable portfolio now comprises four form factors: 3.5"-ECX, mITX, µATX and ATX. Bicker Elektronik expands its product range to include numerous accessory products from brand manufacturers. These include embedded processors, industrial RAM and mass storage as well as embedded modules, Mini PCIe expansion cards, heat sinks and fans.

With its Power+Board programme, Bicker Elektronik offers a unique service for system developers. In Bicker's own laboratory, high quality industrial and medical power supplies are extensively tested in conjunction with selected mainboards to ensure that these combinations fit perfectly together. Normally, developers of embedded and IPC systems have to invest a lot of time in the selection of a reliable PSU+Mainboard combination and the subsequent test runs.

With the pre-tested Power+Board bundles system, developers get a secure solution that saves time and money. So, developers quickly and easily find the right combination for their specific application. Last but not least, the time-to-market of the overall system is shortened. With the Power+ Board bundles customers of Bicker Elektronik get a reliable and long-term available solution from a single source.

On Bicker's website, a test matrix with current power supply recommendations is available for the respective mainboards. Detailed test reports can be requested for each tested Power+Board combination. Based on the Power Supply Design Guide, the switch-on behaviour and start-up timing of all output voltages, switch-on current characteristic, performance in idle mode and under burn-in conditions is extensively analysed and documented.

Additionally, the system behaviour is being tested during static and dynamic nominal and maximum load. In particular, intense variable loads caused by the mainboard itself or other system components will have a strong influence on the stability of the output voltages of a power supply.

In addition to the extensive laboratory tests, the services around the Power+Board programme include personal on-site consulting and product presentation,design-in support, training and technical support.
