DFI has announced its newest development in industrial motherboard with the Intel Xeon Processor family (Purley). It can fit into demands that require heavy business workloads with high agility, reliability, and security. Intel claims the new processor family is the 'biggest platform advancement', and it supports brand new memory architecture and accelerates technology.

Featuring advanced performances, higher storage capacity, rich I/O interfaces, and expansion capability, DFI’s PL610-C622 with Intel Xeon Processor E5 series is optimised to perform rapid processing and loading for the appliances that require computing intense workloads.

Aside from the above features, the socket of PL610-C622 is surrounded by six DDR4 DIMM slots, which are all with maximum speed and performance rather than inconsistent transmission speed of each DIMM slot. With overall enhanced data transfer rate, power, memory capacity, and reliability, it can meet higher level requirements such as hybrid cloud infrastructure, data centre.

Also, the increased demands of high resolution graphics transition are used in a wide range of applications including machine vision and X-Ray, and it brings out the needs for high bandwidth interfaces. The PL610-C622 comes with plenty of PCIe expansions (2 PCIe x16, 1 PCIe x8, 2 PCIe x4) so that client’s equipment can be attached to multiple motor control card, GbE or USB camera, and vision frame grabber.
